Meet the Team

Revd. Marcus Pagnam
Vicar
I am married to Nic and have 3 grown up children.
We both grew up in Bramhall but left 20 years ago for me to work as youth and worship pastor in churches in Jersey and Birmingham.
In 2020 I trained at St Mellitus College, London, and was ordained in 2022.
I am a keen songwriter and musician, having played in many bands including a Beatle’s tribute band for many years.
I am passionate that all people hear the good news of Jesus and are given the chance to receive the hope, healing and wholeness that He alone offers.

Alun Williams
Parish Safeguarding Officer
I am married to Alison and we have two grown-up children and two grandchildren. We have lived in Handforth since 2021, having relocated from Worcester to be hands-on grandparents. We have both enjoyed serving God as part of the St Chad’s family since moving north.
My background is in education, having been a maths teacher, a secondary headteacher and an inspector of schools. I am a long suffering Wolverhampton Wanderers fan.

Rachel Marshall
Children's Work Co-Ordinator
I joined St Chad's in 2022 and began co-ordinating the children's club in 2023. I'm married to Tim and we have two children, Norah and Rowan. I teach English Literature and Language, and sing in a local choir. I love reading, singing, getting out into nature and at the moment all things DIY!

Music and Worship Co-ordinator

Chris Birch

Simon Heal
Head of Resources
I joined St Chad’s in 2022, having first volunteered with Hope Central, something I continue to do. I became DBS Administrator in 2023 and joined the PCC the following year, with responsibility for overseeing the maintenance and resources of the church.
I’m married to Wendy, who manages the church café and serves on the flower arranging team. Before retiring in 2020, I enjoyed a long and successful career in IT, working across a range of roles and organisations. When not volunteering, Wendy and I enjoy walking and holidays, both in the UK and abroad.
